Title: Auto-start Routerstats question
Post by: waltergmw on April 13, 2010, 10:54:00 AM
Gentlefolk,

Although I leave Routerstats lite running on a laptop permanently when I'm monitoring a line, I've been asked if there's a way to automatically run it whenever the computer is switched on.
Is there a way of making Routerstats auto-start without having to presss the start button?

Kind regards,
Walter

On a windows machine try creating a new shortcut to where ever DMT is located.
Then drag that shortcut into the startup folder which will be located at

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

The difficulty is that Routerstats always starts in 'unconnected' mode - you have to click the green button to start it running. I don't know if there's a way round that.

Unless I'm mistaken in the configure/system tab you can set the timer samples to start automatically when Routerstats is started. So if a shortcut is inserted in the startup folder then the end result should be what you are looking for. Also you can set routerstats to start up minimised to the systray.

Ah yes, you could be right SS44. I've never noticed that option.
