Title: DMT tool and netgear DG834GT saving settings
Post by: dizzy4528 on November 06, 2008, 08:14:37 PM
Quick question , if i force a SNR reduction using DMT tool to say 9db from 12 db ,i am assuming this is 75% on the slider scale, then apply and resync .
Will the setting be lost when i turn off my PC or is the setting stored in the router till it reboots.

Hi and welcome

The DG834GT doesn't store these settings permanently, so the changes will be lost if you reboot the router, but if you leave the router switched on you can reboot the PC without losing the settings.

Doesn't the DGTeam custom firmware maintain tweaked settings (SNR margin etc) after a power cycle of the router?
