Title: Session verification failed
Post by: oldfogy on October 26, 2008, 05:08:51 PM
HI there.
Can anyone help to solve this problem please.

Each time I select the mark all topics read I receive the following message.
(This only started to happen yesterday)

I have logged out several times and obviously logged back in, but the same problem keeps occurring.
I have also been through the main forum index and selected to mark each forum/thread as read, but still no luck in solving the problem.

Whilst not much comfort for you - all seems ok here for me.

Session verification is likely to be with your cookie..  I hate to say this, because its the common and overused CS cureall....but have you tried deleting all your temp internet files.
Failing that search for the site cookies - delete it and login again with a fresh session.

No I hadn't tried that, "but I have now" and all seems to be working properly again.
Many thanks. :-[

Glad it worked..

I hate using the "delete cookies and temp internet files" - but this is one area where it does usually work.

In 15 odd years that is the first time that I have ever "had" to remove them.
But at least it solved the problem.

OF,
After 15 years most cookies would be a bit stale.
Even Jammie Dodgers would have gone 'off'.
