Title: Firebrick - RTT of the slowest line
Post by: Weaver on January 31, 2020, 06:38:31 AM
My line #2 is currently by a small margin the slowest of my four lines downstream. I was doing a load of flat-out downloads from Netflix and I took a snapshot using the AA clueless.aa.net.uk control server showing the activity including latency/RTT on all the lines. There seems to always be this pattern that during a download, the slowest downstream line exhibits much worse latency. Is there anything I can do about this? In the way of tweaking/tuning perhaps ?

Below are the sync rates; (need to be multiplied by 0.884434 to convert to IP PDU dates) :
  #1: down 3151 kbps, up 525 kbps
  #2: down 3059 kbps, up 557 kbps
  #3: down 3100 kbps, up 412 kbps
  #4: down 3133 kbps, up 531 kbps

See below clueless.aa.net.uk graphs showing activity during downloads, in particular line #2, dark blue and bright blue compared with the other lines :
