I just raised a fault which needs engineer attendance. The confirmation email from the CP included the following ... "feel free to offer him a cup of Tea or Coffee too as Open Reach engineers have a hard life." We normally do, in fact the guy who finally fixed out last fault got lunch as well.

You're obviously very kind.

The only OR Engineer I've had was an older tight lipped guy and said to myself I'm in for a OR charge here, anyway with a nice cup of punjana tea inside him he started to make conversation it then became a more relaxed environment for both him and me :)

I must admit that the two OR guys I've had visit recently have both been very friendly and helpful and no I did not ply them with tea or anything else ;)

Glen's always just had coffee as far as I can remember, but nothing else.
NS, did you get a charge in the end? XD

No charge and No fault found and DLM reset though I was stuck on interleaving for 3 years the Engineer did make a comment about my DIY internal wiring "a very nice job he said" was going to say yeah all thanks to the Kitz forum but that would have gone over his head.

Good man, NS! How's the drone?

I have always tempted them with offers of fresh coffee. I shall offer eats and treats too in future now. They have always been very helpful.

Ha ha, what a nice thread and thank you on behalf of all the engineers out there.
I wouldn't say it's a "Hard life", that's a bit OTT in my opinion. But it is a very stressful existence with the amount of stats we are required to meet, a brew certainly does help with the daily battle. ;) ;D
