Title: 2nd Line Installation
Post by: S.Stephenson on March 30, 2016, 02:55:57 PM
Im having a second line installed in two days, so im trying to get an idea of what will be done.

My dropwire is currently one pair so I assume either a 2nd drop wire will be installed or the dropwire will be replaced with two pair one.

However what will be done at the point of entry, the dropwire comes into my office/loft and goes directly to the NTE5 would the second pair just come from the NTE5 or will a junction box be installed??

Does a junction box effect VDSL?

What's the best way for it to be done from a VDSL standpoint?

This is a picture of the back of where the dropwire comes in to the NTE5, it goes along the roof and out through a hole in the wall to the pole outside.

I've also in preparation placed a cable that rests in the insulation in order to pull through the new dropwire as the one currently is tacked along the top.
