What could be causing the errors?

This has been ongoing for some time my line is stable not many dropouts.

I am using my HG612 to monitor the line i am plugged into my test socket using filter.

Any Idea what could be causing them Are the errors a bad thing?

Could be caused by old firmware. Check that you have this one.

Software version = V100R001C01B030SP08
Software last change detected at 17/03/2015 at 19:18

Firmware version = A2pv6C038m.d24j
Firmware last change detected at 17/03/2015 at 19:18

If you don't, go download the latest and flash it the same way you did previously. (hold reset and go into recovery)

A outdoor light?

What could cause the errors

MY line seems stable and DRM has just put me back into fastpath..

I'm not sure what to tell you. I don't think you'll remain on fastpath for long. Did you have an engineer come out to your property? (he could have reset DLM if you were previously interleaved).

You mentioned your filter, do you not have an MK2 / MK3 socket? looks like this http://langstonewharf.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/masterafter.jpg

Also what is your line length like? do you know how far from your DSLAM you are?

Thanks for the help

Not sure how line runs but i can measure from my cab to my front door as around 350m but think its routed to the back from another street.
i was on interleaved but it went to fast-path last night
that's on google maps Its a new cab just went live last month

My isp said the line is perfect...should i get a new vdsl plate?
I can fit a front plate ok but a full rewire i cant do as i am disabled

I should say i am connected to the test socket via a filter at the moment.
I have the front plate removed.

Hi, speaking from personal experience if you a plasma TV they play havoc with vdsl, not so much with adsl.

Just a quick query. Do you have any telephone extension sockets?

Looking at the centralised filter you currently have in place I see it is a "look-alike" of the ADSL Nation XTE-2005. Those centralised filters were designed for use when ADSL2+ was the "top end" product, so there might be some benefit in replacing it with the current SSFP Mk3. (SSFP is an Openreach abbreviation for a Service Specific Face Plate.) Here is an example (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BT-OPENREACH-MARK-MK-3-TELEPHONE-FILTER-FACEPLATE-VDSL-ADSL-BROADBAND-SOCKET-/131618612159).

Not much i can do then

I don't think its effecting my line to much as DLM just fixed my profile tonight.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 75 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-77.21 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 77.21 Mbps
------------------------------------------------------------------
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 17.32Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps
------------------------------------------------------------------
Much Better :fingers:
If DLM is improving things it dont make sence!

Is it possible that the errors are LOCAL only!
And DLM don't know about them?

No i don't have any extension's.

Then we can rule out the possibility of any RF ingress via extension wiring.

My OR modem is nest to me router could it be RFI from the wifi?

I have no HomePlugs Before anyone asks LOL  ;)

Hate the things Cause Havoke with my HF band radio!

Could a 500w Halogen Pir light be the cause!

No. The WiFi bands are centred around 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The current implementation of VDSL2, as used in the UK, only extends up to 17 MHz.

That could be a possibility. Halogen lighting has been known to be a source of interference to xDSL services.

I haven't had a chance to look at the specs in detail, but it looks possible that the Raspberry Pi version of DSLstats will run.

I am going to get a new faceplate
will this faceplate be ok i don't have the bottom half for the bt version
is the vte faceplate any good?

I have not seen any evidence that points to your existing centralised filter (faceplate) being defective. Are you sure that you want to replace it?

I have no experience of using the vte2015faceplate (http://www.bttorj45.com/vte2015faceplate.html) but I would presume that it will be perfectly usable.

It's annoying when the lower front plate of an NTE5/A "goes missing". If you happen to see an Openreach technician when you are "out and about", it might be worth asking if he has a spare one in his box of bits, in the back of his van, that you could have.

Was the familiar good old NTE2005 faceplate filter made by Pressac? (if I got that right?)

Who makes the VTE2015 mentioned earlier, anyone have any idea?

Both the NTE2000 (with just the four IDCs -- 2,3,4,5 -- "downstream" of the low pass filter) and the NTE2005 (with the four IDCs, as the NTE2000 and the other two unfiltered IDCs -- marked A & B) were (are) made by Pressac. (And possibly other manufacturers, under license.)

As far as I can tell the VTE2015 is an unbranded "lookalike" of the ADSL Nation device, manufacturer unknown (to me).
