He was a gpo engineer moving over to BT in later life and has spent his whole life with a passion for amateur radio and telephony. This is something he built in retirement and has kept all diagrams etc etc. we really know very little about this but it deserves to be in a museum in our opinion.

Reminds me - I must get round to visiting the Avoncroft (http://www.connected-earth.com/Partnermuseums/AvoncroftMuseum/index.htm) museum, which has a working UAX13 and some TXE2 kit.
