Title: How do you extract firmware from ECI/r?
Post by: custard on June 17, 2014, 05:53:50 PM
I've had an issue with my ECI/r recently. I have recently flashed the file uploaded by Asbokid (ecibfocus_r.8mb.bin) which is used for reverting back to the original configuration.

As that firmware is for version 1(2012) and mine is a version 2(2013), i think it is causing my modem not to work correctly causing a hefty increase in latency.

I was hoping to extract the firmware from another eci/r version 2 that i have, but needs some guidance on how to go about this.

Any help is much appreciated.

A bit of digging and I've found the relevant post.

I'd be grateful if someone who has an ECI/r version 2 already soldered up would be able to extract the 8mb bin using the method mentioned in the link. If not, i'll post my file once I get a chance to resolder my other ECI/r.
