Could a kind soul advise me.
If I were to burn some .jpg images to CD-R using the Windows XP built in disc burning prog., and assuming that burn was completed properly, would that disc be readable on a MAC.
My brother, a young whippersnapper two years younger than myself has at last dragged himself into the cyber age by buying a Mac andI just wondered about the above.
Thank you in advance.

Don't know anything about Macs'
But,
Assuming they are burnt as "Data" files, then I would "assume" they would be readable.

Yes as long as the disk is "closed" - the jpeg format is recognised by all o/s.
Some burning software allows you to keep the disk open so that you can later add to it. Granted its been a while since I tried it.. but a few years back I used to quite often burn my college stuff to cd, but a friend couldnt ever view the files unless I'd finalised and closed the cd.

Thank you both.

This is quite common, when the CD is trying to be read on a different PC.
