I feel I've been "loitering" around this forum making the odd posting for too long without properly introducing myself. Like the final round in "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue" I think I should announce myself as a "late arrival at the Kitz Forum Ball".
Like many on this forum I am retired and have generally found it to be the best occupation I have had in my life. When I did work I was in Further Education, retiring more than ten years ago. I have never had any training or work experience in IT - merely been a user since my first purchase of a Sinclair ZX81 (with optional extra 8Mb RAM pack) many years ago!
I came to this site when I first moved onto broadband and have found it very instructive and helpful. I have also enjoyed the very sociable nature of the forum posters and for this reason I do not think that I can continue to "sit in the corner enjoying the hospitality" without saying "Hello" properly. I'm afraid I've not much computing advice to offer but I hope to keep up contact with the Forum for a long time to come.

A belated welcome to you Jazz, and I share your views about your occupation. :)

Jazz,
I felt the same way but, one day along came a problem that I had the solution to and it makes you feel great being able to post a reply that is useful.
Kepp reading and throwing in your "two penn'orth" and it will help someone with a problem sometime.

(TD ... your raffish Kitizens has made me laugh so much ... raffish is a word that Jane Austin used to describe the 'riff raff' ....  )
see where you've come to Jazz ;D
PS . . I know this could be classed as a hijack, and I apologise, (I'm already in the NC anyway ::) ) BUT ... is there any possibility of my little (https://forum.kitz.co.uk/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.villagephotos.com%2Fp%2F2005-5%2F1013475%2Fbj1.gif&hash=2ad36fe1771b5f432635daea357fa3296725af48) becoming a permanent smiley, or is it too large ?? pretty please (https://forum.kitz.co.uk/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.villagephotos.com%2Fp%2F2005-5%2F1013475%2Fflutter.gif&hash=e98d0954f6d6c2b4b9995c3a9fc7cf7582739f55)

It's no use fluttering your eyelashes Kate. It's Kitz you've got to persuade. ;D
-
Oh all right then :P :P >:D

This "bonjour" smilie is the thin end of the wedge. If scottiesmum is allowed that, she will be demanding double sized suns... ???
TD could not stand the pace. :'(

Hi Jazz and a very belated welcome. :)
Thanks for doing the intro thing - your login is one of those that I often see browsing the forums so I feel I "know the name" already.
As Dave says... youre always welcome to add your 2p

There's hospitality here? :shrug2:
Seriously tho, belated welcome. :)

>> There's hospitality here?
Yes of course - we have a very nice NC - what more do you want :D

I'll vouch for that :(

Kitz, if I replied to that, you'd probably banish me permanently to the NC and never speak to me again.
-
There may not be "hospitality" as such but the forum, through its members, is very hospitable. I hope I may be able to contribute and help from time to time.
-
Here's some hospitality Jazz ......

Thank you - that's very thoughtful (and a nice red too - just like the one I plan to drink with my dinner tonight!)
