Hello,
A couple of quick queries about connecting modems/routers together over a 2 wire link if I may.
Is any other hardware required to do this? Any line conditioning required (applied line voltage etc.)?
Any particular line restrictions?
I've had a quick look at some Cisco info, but this is for big boys toys whose users know exactly what they’re on about...

to my knowledge you only need at least one modem that supports CO mode, not all do.

- No "wetting" voltage is necessary.
- The minimum requirement for the metallic pathway is specification CW1308 cable.

Hello,
Brill, thanks for the info.
I'm looking at this from the point of view of modem testing.
I've got some ideas that I'd like to try out with modding firmwares on the ECI B-FOCus V-2FUb/I and /r .
I've been learning PIC16, PIC24 and (more recently) PIC32 and have had some success porting small projects from other microcontroller families to these.
I know that I have a great deal to learn, but I've found that the best way (for me, anyway) is to "dive in" and learn as I'm messing thing up.
Here's hoping..
