One of my three BRASs has just changed to 21CN-BRAS-RED3-2401-FK. Anyone know where that is?
-
FK = Falkirk. Would that make sense geographically ??
-
@BlackSheep Falkirk was my guess. All three used to be in Edinburgh, until this one was changed.
-
Guessing, would RED be Redback Networks?
-
"Falkirk" which should be "Fawkirk" as it was assumed that speakers were failing to pronounce an /L/ !
"An Eaglais Bhreac" in Gaelic iirc (the speckled church)
[now how's that for off-topicness, but I just could not resist]

No idea mate, not my 'thang'. There are lots of Red networks (and Black methinks), and I think it's just an indicator of the virtual path your circuit takes ??
All pure guesswork.

Indeed so. :-)

Do you get any more speed on that one ?.
-
I get higher sync rates due to ADSL2, but it's such a slow line (~2 Mbps) that it's the DSL link that is the limiting factor.
The change of BRAS was carried out by BT, presumably, rather than by Andrews and Arnold.
Hope I understood your point correctly.
