Post by: renluop on May 27, 2017, 07:38:18 AM
and I have included in the list Average Errors. For whatever reason it may be Average Errors is not in Snapshots; all the rest are.How could this be?

If you save the average errors manually using the camera button on its page, does that work?

It doesn't show up at all. I searched C:\ for today's modifications.

What doesn't show up at all? Do you mean the page displaying the average errors? If so, it's one of the options in "Items to monitor" (it's listed as "Error averages").

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean in your second sentence.

Error averages is ticked in Items to monitor. Clicked the camera again just now, but noting appears in Snapshots. However clicking on Clickboard does produce an image to paste wherever you want. I was saying I searched deeper thhan usual in case the file had been saved in an unexpected location..

OK, I understand. Sorry if I was a bit abrupt.

I'm a bit puzzled because both manual and automatic snapshots of the average errors page do work here. What options do you have set in the snapshots setup? I have mine set to save in daily folders, and to delete all after 21 days.

Here's the config page. No worries about being short, I just put it down to being a Linuxeer. ;D

That seems perfectly reasonable. My only thought is that you seem to be saving an enormous quantity of data, which is going to increase every day (unless you're manually deleting older data). But it seems unlikely that this is the issue unless you've filled up the partition. Can you confirm that all the other graph and text snapshots are continuing to save normally?

I'll conduct a postprandial check, but I do have the app set to clear out after x days. OT maybe ?That has a downside. Old files that might be useful are lost for ever. Maybe some form of auto archive would be attractive. Hard drives are copious enough to support that for most folk. I'd think.

Your image of the configuration page above doesn't show that. An auto archive facility is a good suggestion, but I won't be able to do it immediately.

It was added later! Check shows that no text file is being saved. If I said they were, I apologise they were xML outputs.

Aside! Out of nowhere the floating point error has crept in again, not helpful when connection is suffering! :(
