Title: HG635 issue with DDNS using noip.com
Post by: broadstairs on November 10, 2014, 10:04:24 AM
Perusing the TT forums this morning I noticed that there is apparently a bug in the HG635 firmware which stops it working with the DDNS service provided by noip.com. Posted here for information in case anyone comes looking. See this (http://www.talktalkmembers.com/t5/Superpowered-Fibre-Broadband/DDNS-using-no-ip-and-the-HG635-Router/m-p/1526115) and this (http://www.talktalkmembers.com/t5/Superpowered-Fibre-Broadband/Super-Router-Setup/m-p/1530967#M49927) in TT members forums. Not sure at this stage whether this works with other DDNS providers.

Dynamic DNS is working here on my HG635 FW v1.04t.
Using the GnuDIP.http settings from the provider duckdns.org.

Having got my HG635 if I have to use it I will see what happens as I use DDNS but with dyndns.com.... I dont plan on using it as I have the ZyXEL aka F1000.

Well since my connection is supposed to be going live on fibre today I decided to put the HG635 on this morning and leave it until it switches over. So I have tried to activate ddns but guess what it does not work for me with dyndns.org. I dont know if my firmware level is the issue but it certainly does not work.
