Title: Loss of speed
Post by: parkdale on December 24, 2018, 11:58:04 AM
Any suggestions on why this is happening? as you can see i've lost a big chunk out of my bit tones, BT wholesale checker run using Edge!
Error count over 16 days is only 2637! No noise on phone line! and according to Plus net not banded! so i've gone from 54Mb to  :'(  (Pilot reference was from Feb 2017)

I'm lost...

2 different graphs to compare but they are different sizes.

You've gone from 54Mb to  :'( ??
Is  :'( a technical term I'm unaware of?
 ::)

Do you have any actual stats that can be looked at?

The bitloading shows an improvement in some tones, a loss in others, but overall I can't tell with my eyes and the different sized graphs.

Stats would help me more.

How much speed had been lost and over what time, gradual or instant.

Apologies John for the confused ??? post, Ok so I have rescaled the pictures in the first post so we can see the bit loading values have dropped (and the min max values are shown as well) from tone 512 to 800 ish? and up have been reduced to just over 8 and at some point have dropped below 7.
SNR has also dropped somewhat....
I have attached 2 pics of my stats from feb 2017 and 26122018
But as the above Bt test shows, this is the maximum that I can download at ... even ThinkBroadband test shows the similar 39.3Mb (Used to be 50-51Mb)
The loss was instant, it just re synced one day.... even with low error rates (Below 0.18 per min) it has been a bit jumpy causing more re syncs in the past few months

Edit :- tidy up post
