Personally, I lack enthusiasm for this. I have generally found CPW to be helpful and a reasonable place to shop. As a diehard PAYG phone user, I especially like their habit of providing sim-unlocked phones, whatever the network.
Once upon a time I held Dixons in high esteem as well, but that was 40 years ago when I'd go there to buy photo processing equipment, paper, chemicals, enlargers etc. These days, I feel differently about them. :(

I agree with you. Dixons are the Tesco of electricals and electronics, and it fills me with gloom.

Dixons started to go downhill after the pc world merger. Once upon a time you could play price wars with dixons, currys and pc world.. And comet. Now there's just the one.
All the big cos seem to be merging no matter what the industry, soon we will be left with hardly any choice. Same with ISPs, LLU was supposed to give us more choice, but I dunno, it actually seems more limited these days.

I've been in John Lewis today looking at i-pads.. :)
Now that is how a company should be run,one of the best department stores in the UK imo. :)
