No.

What I did notice though was the DNS servers take longer to process requests in the evenings, making pages load slower?

I use OpenDNS now, pages load much quicker and the Web doesn't stop loading web pages after 8pm ish!

I thought I gave you a reason why that could be in your other long thread, when I said that slowness will start to occur when the error count on your line starts to rack up..  which is when the SNR dips too low and your router has to keep saying "pardon".

Oh ye, sorry Kitz ???

As you can see from another thread I made, I am going to call Sky in the week to see what they can do and if they can migrate me off LLU or if I will have to go through Tiscali etc.

@Jid,why not stay on LLU and go with O2,16 and 20 meg is available (if you can get it).The user reports are excellent with them and free phone UK technical support.

Yes, but Tiscali have my Phone Line as well :'(

Kitz / Unc,

I have just noticed that now the phone is in use, the SNR is very jumpy, is it possible that the filter the phone is connected to has had its day? Should I just check that filter (again) or remove them all and resync?

Cheers Jamie

Sky have told me that I will have to go back to BT before I can sign up to their broadband.

I will then be in a 12month contract to pay Line Rental to BT and therefore will not be able to take Sky Line Rental.

I am yet to ring BT but I have looked on BTs website and it seems I may be able to go back to them with no cost as I still have a dial tone on the BT Master Socket ;D

So I will update you if I hear anymore.

Regards

Jamie
