I have set up a tournament at Funtrivia which we can play alongside any other quizzes going on ;)
Register once then play every day to build your score up - a new game starts daily and a new tournament starts each month.
I have varied the subject headings daily so hopefully there's something for everyone - these can be changed if anything is particularly horrible, or too easy.
One annoyance with these is that the questions can be very US oriented which is no fun for Sport (unless you are American!) - but as I said, I can change the category if necessary.
Opens in a new window.

Good luck everyone :graduate:
-
Bit quiet in there - did the Sport put everyone off?
-
I didn't know any of the answers. I guessed 3 correctly, and didn't come last for once.
-
neither did I roseway, we must be better guessers than the rest ;)
-
just joined joined up to this - did a bit of guessing :)
-
Only two so far today 8)
-
Not had chance today - sorry steph.
Only just catching up on my own forum now :(
-
Way-hay, 8/10 on history 8)
-
What a silly name for a snake ::) ::)
-
What's wrong with calling a snake Henry? :D
-
omg I got the snake one wrong - I thought - nah thats just too obvious
-
lol... I got it right, only cuz I guessed - good job she had a sense of humour eh? ;)
-
I'm going to change the Sport category before the next tournament starts on 01 November unless anyone has any sensible objections - and that's not just because I hate it myself :-\ but it's usually American and no one has done very well.
Thought I should give you a couple of days notice ;D

Just registered,9/10 on literature, not bad for a plank.
-
not so much of a plank, I see you're winning
I really bombed today, and it's one of my favourite subjects :-[
-
It's only day 1 - plenty of thrashing time to go 8)
-
I keep forgetting to play it!
*edit* just played... did bloody awful as suspected! Literature is NOT my strong point!
Ah well, let's hope there's some techy or music questions in there too! ;)
-
Literature is only once per week - and I can change it again if it proves unpopular!
-
Well done to November's winner - UncleUB yaaayyyy!!!! (https://forum.kitz.co.uk/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi102.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm87%2Fpassionplay65%2Fsmilies%2Fdance2.gif&hash=25abd44710be28a9501044bfe622b0815eb8d2b7)
-
oops I forgot all about this.
Sorry steph been a bit busy the past couple of weeks.. although feel free to bump the thread as a reminder from time to time.
btw love the festive av - guess I'll have to put the "forum xmas decos" up at some point too :D
-
No worries Kitz, we can see you have a couple of things to do ::)
love the festive av...
Thanks - but he should be animated.... I tried out two yesterday and this one worked at first but he's static again now :-\
And my siggy's too tall, I've lost my balls - I'll have a fiddle with them later :-X
Edit - well call me a liar why don't you - he's waving again now
-
I'm sure nobody here would dream of calling you a liar. I remember when I was playing around with the crawling bug avatar which you all liked so much, it didn't seem to work at first, but then it did. Maybe something to do with browser caching.
-
ME,Novembers winner,I am filling up here.UB gets the 'brown milk' out and gives all his forum friends a sniffter :drink:
Thanks Steph and the avatar is looking gooooooooooood.
-

Yes he's stopped again now :(
I'll have some of whatever Pwiggler's cat's on 8)
Thanks for the milk Unc - have a gold star :D (https://forum.kitz.co.uk/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi102.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm87%2Fpassionplay65%2Fgraphics%2Fgoldstar.jpg&hash=a46af5e31199ef4e47c60405a77644f4ce82426d)
-
Your Santa is still waving here, so he's OK really.
-
The reason your sig is missing the bottom half is that, beautiful though it is, its height is twice the maximum allowed on the forum. Kitz had to put a bit of control on these things when at one point they were getting a bit out of hand. Some people even used distracting pictures like animated penguin-huggers!
-
Thats terrible eric,do we know the culprits

Yes I had realised - I've been fiddling with Animation Shop to shrink it but it keeps trying to optimise the image and it just makes it all fuzzy.
Never mind - it gets changed back at the end of the month :police:
-
>> but he should be animated.
He was here and is... - maybe like eric says its browser caching. :/
>> And my siggy's too tall, I've lost my balls
:D
Just so you know - the max sig height is 60 pixels - anything more than that gets cut off Im afraid. :/

Maximum image size is 450x60 and should be jpg, gifs or pngs.
Maximum of 255 characters is permitted.
-
Not perfect - but it'll do
-
You're twinkling nicely Steph :)
-
Just to say thanks to Steph for running the forumites challenge :flower:
-
And well done Unc for being champion again  despite having more wins overall I couldn't quite make up the extra point ::)
-
Thanks for that Steph :) Drinkies on me :drink:
-
Thanks UncleUB. Mine's a pint of creme de menthe please.
And thanks to Steph of course. :kiss2:
-
Like a cherry with that eric :)
-
Has any one had trouble logging on to funtrivia this morning?
-
I'm not getting in either UB, hope it's only temporary :-\
-
Thanks Steph, might be down for maintainance. :)
-
Any one managed to get on to the funtrivia site yet?
-
I'm just getting a server error - error 500
-
Same as me :(
-
Still nothing happening
-
As Diana Ross would say--------I,m still waiting,oh,oh,oh,o
Edit,Is there no way of checking whats wrong with the site.
-
It's there now UB - I'd just tried to open the one at bleepingcomputer and that worked, so I was all ready to pick a fight, tried ours again and it opened - tongue held a bit longer :-X
-
Just played :)
-

-
Ooh! I like it.
-
Congrats to UncleUB for being top of the class for January :graduate:
Also thanks to everyone who plays however infrequently :D
A new tournament starts today so let's give Unc a thrashing >:D
-
Where,s my gold star this month?
Looks like the >:D is working, you ALL thrashed me today.
-
Where's our new player gone?
Don't let unc's bloodlust put you off >:D
-
 The only bloodlust I have at the moment is for the tesco delivery driver. :D
I don't think 'Thicko' is registered with these forums,is he,she? Clearly a man(or woman) of mystery.
-
I puzzled about not recognising the user name, it's so long since I joined that I can't remember the procedure, but I thought Steph had to pass you as okay? I don't think just anyone can come in, but maybe I'm wrong
-
Has someone left the back door open. :shrug2:
-
I've just been in to do today's and he/she is back
-
Abosulutely anyone is welcome.
The link is easily picked up from the beginning of this thread so anyone visiting this forum can see it. It could also be anyone registered here - just logging in under a different user name.
The more regular players the more interesting it gets on the leader boards so I hope a few more sign up :graduate:
-
Maybe you could find a few dumbos to make my scores look a bit better :-\
-
I didn't know there was tournament vivisection going on in here.
It's a shame there isn't a UK version, with no USA history, music, sport etc.
-
I don't think 'Thicko' is registered with these forums,is he,she? Clearly a man(or woman) of mystery.
Hi Thicko here (That was). Re-registered as Bob4444. (Don't know why, as Thicko was appropriate.) Don't think I will be top of the class, but you never no. ;D
-
It's not the winning, it's the taking part... ;D
I think the only contest is between UncleUB and Fudgem, the rest of us are just having fun >:D
-
you never know when an outsider will come up on the rails
You've no chance of getting on the leader board this month Bob, having been a late starter, but a new month will start soon, just got to be sure to play every day
-
I will use the rest of this month for practise. (4 days :o) It still might take a few months to get the old grey matter going. :D
Bob.
-
Can,t we get more British subjects instead of all these american sections?
-
I think it's an American based site - this gives it away in their terms and conditions .....FunTrivia content is not guaranteed for accuracy or completeness............. ..... that and the length of the Terms and Conditions ::) hence the bias !
-
to be fair, we have an advantage when there are questions about England, I daresay the Americans find them just as bad
-
Well they will if they are all like this ...... from an article in the New York Times ....
"Selected from a third-grade geography curriculum, the $25,000 question asked: “Budapest is the capital of what European country?”
Ms. Pickler threw up both hands and looked at the large blackboard perplexed. “I thought Europe was a country,” she said. Playing it safe, she chose to copy the answer offered by one of the genuine fifth graders: Hungary. “Hungry?” she said, eyes widening in disbelief. “That’s a country? I’ve heard of Turkey. But Hungry? I’ve never heard of it.”
-
Wow, I got 7 guesses right. :) Don't know what happened to the other 3, must have thought too much. :( Will keep
trying guessing to see if I can improve.
Bob.
-
thank you to roseway for lifting me off the bottom where I have languished all day, (not being very good at guessing) :baby:
-
It's always my pleasure (and my destiny) to come last. :-[
-
I've changes the category for next Wednesday. There are not many all-UK options unfortunately, and thise there are don't have many questons
-
You're too good to us, Steph. :)
-
Now I know where the other 3 guesses went. :(
-
Maybe it'sw time for a quick bump as a few of the newer members might be interested.
