Title: AC Balance On A Twisted Pair.
Post by: tickmike on July 15, 2016, 01:35:37 PM
AC Balance On A Twisted Pair.
Edit..Just to make it clear this is on a BT cable.
Can some explain about the effect noise rejection on a twisted pair if;
1 .. If the cable was damaged but not cut in two.?
2.. If the cable was stretched ?.
3.. If it was squashed flat.

Quick answer is WORSE.

How much worse depends on so many things so the only advice is don't damage it. I heard of a case where someone was making measurements of interference rejection and a half twist extra made 30dB difference. -
