With the benefit of hindsight it's obvious they should have built two in 1922. It would have saved a fortune, £7900 instead of £4m.

I see the Flying Scotsman took 8 hours from London to Edinburgh. These days it takes 4.5.

On the Today programme I think I heard it was limited to 45 m.p.h. Did it havel a 'just in case' diesel banker Iwonder.

It's limited to 75 mph, nowadays. (Sorry to be an anorak).
