I have just noticed an option in Opera browser that lets you tile tabs.....

So...........open Opera..open Kitz Forum and navigate to photograph number 1.
Open new tab and navigate as above to photograph number 2 in the same thread.

Only one tab will display, the other being minimised.

Right click on the "hidden" tab then click on "arrange" and there are the tile options....click on (example) "tile vertically" and the two tabs open side by side in the same window....woohooo..

To get out of the tile arrangement, close one tab and in the remaining tab go to the top right hand corner of the window and click on the normal "maximise" button.

You could open two separate browser windows, log into the forum on each one and then tile them.

Yes thank you all. I have now got something to play with also. I have tried similar with FF but I can't do it. Much easier with Opera.
My preferred browser. :)

I think Scottiesmum deserves some credit as she started the whole thing off.

I've never fancied Chrome. What do you think of it UncleUB.

Sorry to go OT.

I like it very much...it is quick to load web pages and updates just seem to integrate seamlessly.I found it strange at first as there isn't no book marks sidebar, but there is a book marks bar that sits just under the address bar.
You can add various apps/extensions from the Gooogle Chrome webstore, overall it rate it very highly.

I also use Firefox and Opera, but rarely use IE9

The difference maybe because I use Linux and I believe chrome is designed more around Windows.

I don't think it ever will unfortunately - the addons site says that it's no longer supported. :(

However there's a new experimental addon called Tile View which seems to do the job. I've installed it, and I managed to get my Chilham photo and TD's modified version showing side by side.

Thanks for that Eric ....  I noted that the designer of the Splitter screen add-on is Japanese  ... I expect he/she has enough problems at the moment  :(

I'll have a look at the Tile View.   :)
