MouseCat
« on: January 28, 2011, 06:08:50 PM »

I've lost a special friend today
- a little Mouse_cat who came to stay.
Someone who would curl up on my knee
and share so many thoughts with me.

He'll no longer pad his stripey paws,
with those extra sharp pin-prick claws.
I'll no longer hear that motor-mouth purr
and no more covering my clothes with his fur.

But he was the cat with a squeak,
and he leaves me happy memories that I shall keep.
Rest well now kitteh, in pain free sleep. ♥

He's now buried with his partner in crime Chaz.. may the 2 of them be once again hunting together up in puddy tat heaven.

Thinking of you at this very sad time

Quote
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

R.I.P Mouse.

Thank you for the kind words.

The past few weeks have been hard as he has needed a lot of looking after, quite often taking hours out of my day, but I did so cause I loved him and he was happy and purred away.  He never even moaned as I bathed him to keep him clean. (it had to be done each day).
But in the end pain seemed started to set in quite badly for him and he found things more difficult and started to be distressed at his own inability so it was kinder to do what had to be done  :'(
Bless him.. he was a happy chappy right up to the minute he went to sleep for the final time.

Chaz went fighting refusing to give in... Mouse went purring.  :cry2:
