Today Avira reported 5 warnings :all file Internal errors

Currently we have some threads with the same problem. It seems to be associated with the last engine update.

No problem, but Computer Shopper, February edition, has a survey of antivirus suites. Avira is not in the top flight. For your interest I have attached a scan  of the benchmarks.

Incidentally, OT, I uninstalled Avira, but for what ever reason, the process  did not complete succesfully, and dekcoc up my getting on internet. To get right I had to comb through everything, registry and all,lto delete remnants. Possibly just coimcidence?

On Avira forum a user asked if there was a clean up program for Avira    this link was given
