Hi tgurgis and welcome,

You'll see that at:-

http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php

your performance is well above that estimated by Kitz.
I would leave well alone.

Kind regards,
Walter

thanks for your reply but one last thing i want to know what is optimal MTU value i should use according to the speed u see in my status 2434/509 PPPoA Vux .
note: i measured the maximum ping in cmd and it was 1472

Thanks in advance

Hi
very quick calculation shows that original stats gave 1 CRC ~every 11 secs. these latest ones show 1 CRC ~every 5 secs. neither of these are very good .
That basically means that when downloading you will have many retransmissions which will slow your throughput

Your last stats were for a very short time so may not be as bad as shown.

The  Max speed link calculates all speeds based on GDMT attenuation,  so your line could expect a synch speed of about 3400Kbps on ADSL2+with the normal default  target SNR margin of 6db. You are below this probably because of your enhanced Target SNR  margin of 12db .

There is nothing to be gained by changing to GDMT . The  difference in Attenuation is caused by the added high frequency tones .

quote note: i measured the maximum ping in cmd and it was 1472

Working out your maximum MTU

see http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/MTU2.htm

I would also run routerstats  to plot Your SNR margin over time to see what noise there is on the line , and maybe work out why there are so many CRCs

Regards Jeff
