DGN2000 and DGTeam Firmware - keyword blocking?
« on: February 09, 2010, 05:12:02 PM »

Another issue, it seems to ignore keyword blocking totally  ::)

I need this - does anyone have a fix?  Or if anyone has access to the dgteam forum can they do a search for me please?

(No results found)

My guess it is a Netgear firmware problem, have you looked at OpenDNS as a possible solution.

boooger, thanks for looking.

I need to block certian sites just during the day 9-6.

I don't think open DNS can do this..

A completely different approach is to use TreewalkDNS to run your own local DNS.

You can then use a plugin called Confetch which adds entries which are blocked by Treewalk and hence effectively unreachable.

With judicious use of the Windows Scheduler it MAY be possible to startup and load different lists at different times of the day.

I have used TreewalkDNS but I have not tried this time-based blocking this myself, but it should be possible - in theory. However, both programs are free.
