DMT 8.07 and Netgear / DG Team Firmware
« on: December 08, 2009, 05:15:52 PM »

Quick question to those in the know.  This is a separate thread to my noisy line issue.

I use RouterStats to monitor my line and have DMT 8.07 to go with the Netgeat DG834N.  It's flashed for a DG team firmware (0848).

When I load it, it says it can't find the modem and make the connection.  RouterStats is fine.

Is this a known issue?  Is there a fix?

Thanks in advance,

Mo

I don't use that exact router but sometimes you have to change the logon settings in DMT, e.g. tick special logon or a different port.

I am using the same router, same firmware and use same version of DMT. Set to port 23, uncheck special logon, check Autoconnect on startup.
Ensure you have input correct IP address, login and password.
On occasion it does fail to login, the fix I have found for this is to check special logon, press connect (knowing it will not connect) then uncheck special logon, press connect and it connects straight away.
I rarely use DMT now with the amount of information that can be collected with Routerstats.

Thanks for tips.  Tried them, but still not working.

Not a big deal, as you say there's similar functionality from RouterStats.

Cheers
