It depends on where their relays are placed. There is one in the village where I live, but it's on the other side of a hill.

@ Eric,

You might just try once again to chat to them and ask where the line of sight inteference is and how much it is.
Perhaps see if they will tell you where their local mast is so you could DIY to check.
Could you perhaps put a long pole on a chimney bracket to raise your horizon (so to speak).
Do you have any neighbours who could act as a repeater for you ?
