Hallo all you users of Avast Home Edition av.
You will no doubt be running version 4.8.1356
There is a program update to version 4.8.1358 doing the rounds......but as yet not available as a prog. update from Avast/Alwil, for some reason..
The new version can be downloaded from majorgeeks or filehippo and other mirrors.....but only as the complete prog., not as an update to the existing version.
Why it is not yet available from Avast/Alwil as a regular update I know not............the only comment I can find is at
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=50544.0 where it is stated....quote "Whilst the avast update check doesn't show it, majorgeeks does appear to have 4.8.1358 for download. It may take a little while fir the avast servers (lots of them) to be prepared for the auto update cycle of program updates"
Will keep looking for a normal update and let you know.
