Thank you to everyone for all the helpful advice ...... however ! the problem intensified earlier and I eventually unplugged the Live Box ...the problem persisted !!! On closer inspection, hubby decided that the problem could, after all, lie with the actual decoder

so, he connected another decoder (always keep a spare

) and the problem appears to have vanished

I apologise for the bothering you .... and now I'm going to borrow Unc's

( I have learned an awful lot about my Live Box from both Kitz's link and TD"s very clear instructions) ............... many thanks again ....... hubby says ' pardon ' too

I think this is worth a HUGE bottle of Coco
