Well just an update on my move to sky max broad band.

Today I migrated without to many problems. Everything is working ok. I guess my only gripe would be despite going for the max package I ended up with a Sagem f@ast router. Not my choice I have to say, but for now I am stuck with it.

First thing was to disable the wireless side. Cables only here. ;) Next was just to have a look around the sagem interface. Not a lot to shout about I have to say, but enough to be functional.

Got to say not impressed with initial connection of 4095kbps. Also Line attenuation of 33.5db is 5db higher than my net gear dg834gt shown when with ZEN.
Also we had a massive storm here just a couple of days before migration which resulted in the DLM lowering my bras profile to 4000 from 7000. SNRM has also been put up to 15.5db. So not a good start thanks to some adverse weather killing my connection. I do hope that Sky sort this out under the 10 day training period.

How I miss my toys already  NO Router stats arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ADSL Link     Downstream     Upstream
Connection Speed    4095 kbps    510 kbps
Line Attenuation    33.5 db    15.8 db
Noise Margin    15.5 db    22.5 db

As you know DLM is now running so leave your router on for this time.

There are no BRAS profiles on Sky LLU and the sync speeds are rate adaptive, the sync you get will relate to the throughput etc.

With your attenuation and according to this you should see a sync of around 12352kbps (if on a 6dB SNR Target most likely).

After 10 days if your service doesn't improve get in touch with Sky and they will sort it all for you  :)
