Billion 5200G and stats
« on: February 08, 2009, 03:43:36 PM »

Hi guys ,  i have recentley flashed  a billion modem /router with the firmware that forces the 6db SNR margin .
The reduction worked like  a dream and have acheived a higher sync and through put than i have ever had
before . Trouble is the stats from telnetting the router show no near end CRC or Error seconds.
I always had a few hundred errors of each over a 24H period .
I am just wondering has the new (old) firmware flash solved the problem with a more stable connection or is it that the router is not conveying the correct
info via the telnet command.

It's difficult to believe 0 error seconds in nearly a day on a long line like yours, so I would presume that it's a reporting error.
