There's a place called  Mumps near Oldham, Lancashire  ...      mump was an old word for sulking ...so that's my next guess    ;D

If we're talking about typographical fonts, then the world, as Hercule Poirot once said, is our lobster. But looking through the list of standard Windows fonts, the only 'old fashioned' names which leap out are Roman, Gothic, Antiqua and Trebuchet...

Back to the drawing board...

Well I'm stumped  ......     but my feminine logic is going into overdrive again  ;D           There is a font called  Marlett   ....     there's an 'old'  Lancashire word  - marde, which means soft (as in pathetic)  which could describe sulking   ...is there a Marlett in the UK   ??    I know this is far fetched (even for me  :lol:)
