I've tried all 3 on my GT and theres not much difference on my own line when it comes to stability. Some swear by UberGT and others prefer DGTeams'
Some of them have a few tweaks available via the web interface rather than having to fire up DMT or adjust it via the CLI. After trying the different ones available, I actually went back to standard Netgear firware and was happy to do any tweaking if I wanted via DMTtool.
I have got a page that I've not finished or uploaded - from when I tried the different versions here. There wasnt any difference in the line stats on my own line.. but a summary of the pros and cons from when we tried them - bear in mind these were the rough notes made at the time.
Differences:
DGTeam:
PROS
Options to show stuff in Diagnostics:
Determine TCP MTU size to a remote host.
Do BERT test
ADSL status information (adslctl --show)
Firewall status
Conntracks monitor (like netstat I think)
Running processes (point?)
NO-IP dynamic DNS support
TCP options - change TCP parameters:
Timestamps (on by default)
TCP fast recycle of Time-Wait-2 state tcp connections (erm.. yeah, its off by default anyway!!)
reconnecting time: 1200
reconnecting probes: 3
TCP conntrack timeout: 30sec (conntrack = connection i think)
UDP conntrack timeout: 30sec
UDP streaming (VOIP) timeout: 600sec
ICMP conntrack timeout: 10sec
Max conntrack: 2048
change single username and password
Enable telnet and from external host
SPI Firewall page - which allowed finer control over the DOS protection system.
CONS
Changing advanced ADSL settings (SNR, connection mode) and applying DOESN'T do a resync
very annoying. No built in way to resync via web interface either. Only reboot. Which is a bit poo.
UberGT:
PROS
Changing ADSL settings DOES cause a resync. Cool
Wake On Lan tool
FreeDG optimizations checkbox. Think they're for VOIP - possibly some outgoing QOS?
CONS
None of the advanced diags from DGTeam
No way to change router username, only password
No external telnet option... BUT it tells you username = root!
No way to change the finer SPI firewall options.
