Been watching the womens road cycle race, we won a gold, the conditions were atrocious, but she was a Welsh lass so I expect she used to the rain.

Yes, and taking the older grandson for a ride on the snails (which now means 4 generations of my family have indulged in the best ride on the planet) followed by ice creams all round, it was a very enjoyable day out.

Awwww, thanks Floidoid, I think I know which bit you mean. I remember taking a god daughter along with her aunty ( a recent ex at the time) and I know she was pretending we were one happy nuclear family, and too be honest so did I, was a lovely day  in part an illusion, but shame it didn't work out otherwise. Thanks for the memory anyway

I had my first ride on the snails with my dad when I was 5... I have since taken my own kids on there when they were young... and most recently with my grandson last sunday.
