« on: May 03, 2023, 01:19:23 PM »

https://youtu.be/rIxkkNxsEhs

Time to upgrade your RB2011 setups! L009 offers more features & better performance for the same low price! This product line is 2-4 times faster than RB2011, it has a modern dual-core ARM CPU with container support, an innovative enclosure that allows mounting up to four routers in a single 1U space, more RAM, PoE, and 2.5G SFP support.

It's a bit odd in that respect. The comments from Mikrotik on that Youtube video seem to be saying on the one hand "This is a brilliant upgrade from the RB2011" and on the other hand saying "It doesn't need 5GHz wireless, after all the RB2011 doesn't have it"

Agreed. A bit odd . . . in the translation from the original Latvian, perhaps.

I wonder if they are thinking this will just be a management WLAN?  I can't think of any other reason to not include 5Ghz as you're going to need an Access Point anyway.
