I recall seeing on YouTube a family who recreated some of the old exchange kit into whole working mini exchanges. It was a family hobby... all that I can recall now is that it was a girl responsible for getting most of it working. It does seem a shame if it all gets scrapped and I hope that a suitable home is found.
