Mornin Chrissie/all,dull,breezy and raining here,I honestly can't remember a worse August for the weather.It just makes you feel so miserable.  Nothing much planned today,gardens a no no,Sue's at work,dogs asleep.What an exciting life we lead.

Not be long now before Gordon claims that HIS actions (and our taxes) have prevented global warming.
The sooner he does, the sooner we can all stop paying all these green taxes that have been sneaked in, because they have worked.
Rain, showers and more dark clouds. My excuse for not doing any washing today.

Sitting in an exchange making up a 20pr block and tail (block is the black box you get at the top of poles where your drop wires run from your property to the pole if your fed overhead for telephony) the tail is the cable which runs down the pole to a joint either on the pole or in as in this case a joint box somehwere nearby underground) which I'm going to fit on my own, including remaking the underground joint.

At least I can do the prep work under cover with a cuppa

Though I'd give you guys a lil update on chaz today - dont like doing it daily cause its boring and some days there isnt any improvement because it seems to be a long slow process.

But yesterday evening was a good day...  he followed me out to collect the wheelie bin back in and even made a little attempt to "run" in order to keep up.
He managed to jump on the settee by himself last night, and he's getting out of the catflap and managing the one step if he does it slowly.
He is still very wobbly though and he will often stagger or fall down.  Aside from the one step at the backdoor, he cant manage steps or stairs or jump down from anything and he falls. (doesnt stop him trying though!)
He's lost a lot of weight, and although he's far from better... theres a heck of an improvement considering the state he was in 10 days ago.

He's a hell of a toughie - and is still happy and content if he's either around me - or sat out in the garden watching whats going on.
We need a bit more sunshine though now so he can go sit out outside...  what a "summer" eh?

It's not boring. Glad to hear he's doing so much better He is a little toughie, but also one of the most loving and loyal cats I've ever seen - his relationship with you is quite something to see.

..  although once upon a time he would have stood his ground against any dog..  he's a lot more cautious these days since he's not as quick as he was (even before he got ill).

So..  I'll just have to post my fav pics of chas.
The first one is taken some years ago when hes sat on "his bench" and another of him asleep in the plants.

...  and just to balance it - one of Mouse who has been a little sweetie the past week or so.
Mouse always sleeps in his "Mouse House", but for the past week has preferred to sleep curled up next to chas on a blanket put on the floor. - Chaz cant get in and out of his "box" where he normally sleeps.
