Openreach vs OpenReach vs openreach
« on: November 02, 2021, 01:36:25 PM »

I've noticed a tendancy for people to write our favourite infrastructure provider as "OpenReach", and am wondering where this came from.

I found myself writing it that way recently, but then noticed on their website it's written "Openreach":

https://www.openreach.com/about/our-company

And their logo writes it "openreach"....

Logos are commonly stylised, so that's no guide to the correct form. As far as I know, it's always been "Openreach" and still is.

Oh no, not this Rabbit hole.  I can never decide if to write Nvidia,. NVIDIA or nVIDIA.

Pretty sure I always type Openreach though, I'd say "logo or not, its a name so should be capitalised" but I just broke that rule in my comment above.
