Do you ever have one of those days when you cannot do right for doing wrong?
Didn't rise until about 11am today (nothing special to do) but when I did, I got out of bed into the middle of the housework. You know lads, hoover out ready to go, bathroom with no towels because they had been sent to the washing machine in the kitchen, just managed to get off the bed and all the sheets are stripped off.
I don't understand it because the Manager has been at work for two weeks now and finished on Wednesday until next Thursday, so she has a week in which to get this all done.
Whilst in the bathroom I heard the hoover (well actually it's a Dyson) going for a short period then it stopped and an acrid smell (not from me) went through the house. Upon investigation the motor had burnt out. Tried it a couple of times and got a spin of about a quarter of a turn and the horrible smell got worse. Decided to bin it (too expensive to repair, and it was six years old) and we would go and look for a new one at Asda.
Bought a new one at Asda which she is very pleased with. On the way back, I (being a good citizen) went to the household recycling centre to ditch the old one. Got it out of the boot and dragged it to a large container marked Electrical goods. When I got back in the car, all I got was . . . .
"Didn't you empty the dirt out of it before dumping it?"
