Benefit Shake up (again)
« on: July 21, 2008, 10:22:21 AM »

That old chestnut has risen its head again.I remember some years ago when my stepson used to sign on for Job seekers allowance. He would be asked the question,'what are you doing to actively seek work'.He would reply,'I am looking in the evening paper and on the notice boards in the jobcentre'.Ok was the reply, sign here and voila the giro appears on the mat next day.
The people who are genuinely on benefits will be frightened now that they are going to loose their benefits.I think a lot of people who have been on  incapacity benefit for a number of years are people who were made redundant when a lot of heavy industry was closed down. They then never saw the need to find another job,and no one ever checked.
It will be a case of watch this space...................

This as some people will know is old news, not new news.

Nothing changes, only the person saying it.
It's probably the same white paper with just the dust removed.
