My wife has just given me my Xmas present a day early - for some reason - and I have not bought her anything as we said that we weren’t going to bother as neither of us could think of anything that we wanted, until Janet saw a TV in the recent sales a few weeks back and bought that for herself as her own Xmas present. She then told me to regard the TV as my present to her. So all of this left me nowhere and I’ve let her down.
So anyway, Janet’s present to me. A foam-filled carefully shaped stand for an iPad which lets you prop up the iPad firmly to use it in bed. It is a thing of joy. I had one before which was a sort of sausage roll shaped thing which a hook/notch on the side which would catch onto the edge of the iPad. That could roll to different angles so it was flexible, but it was very insecure and could be frustrating to use, and had become more some after I got my iPad Pro with its much larger screen as the weight of the iPad would overcome the weight of the sausage device and make it lose its control over the iPad. The new device is a large toblerone shaped device but with slight notch-catches at the corners which the iPad drops into and it work superbly well. It came from the USA and had possibly been hanging around in customs for a month, so its arrival on Xmas eve was just coincidence.
So anyone who is an iPad-in-bed user, let me know and I’ll see if I can’t dig up the details of its origin from Janet.
