It could depend on what list of things Spyware Guard is programmed to watch for and block. Most tracking cookies are not a threat but SAS will dig them out if it is not one that you have used regularly to log onto a site.
Whatever SAS finds, I let it remove and have never had a problem with it.
You can Google each one before removing if you wish, but I work on the principal that if SAS found it, it shouldn't really have been there.

Y'know all those tracking cookies are doing is keeping a record of which adverts you've seen and which you haven't - they're really nothing sinister.

Am I the only one that isn't all that fussed about cookies nowadays? (I do remember the time when exploits means that other sites could read cookies they shouldn't have been able to, but that's all been sorted out now, hasn't it?)

You are not alone, tracking cookies don't get me in a lather either, and I say that as one who is paranoid about security. If one looks out of the ordinary i.e over the usual 1k size, I use a smashing little prog called Quick View Plus to look at its contents, most of its gobbledook anyway.

I do remember about 10 years ago there were a whole host of cookie cutter type applications about, but I'm sure they always have been like the Earth in HHGTTG - mostly harmless... I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over them.  Tho I do like Ccleaner and it's rather nifty feature to keep the cookies you want, and let it delete all the other carp... not that it really matters.

I'm waffling again.
