Somhairle has got a bird

Buidheag, the older tortoishell and white female, has caught a bird in the bushes, eaten the best parts and then has given it to Somhairle. How he growls: nyah nyah nyah - wyawa nyah because Pangur Bàn is peeping at him from round the corner of the bed.

Oh dear.   :(

One of mine is a skilled hunter when allowed out and usually brings them home live without a mark on so at least I can let them go. The other has never caught anything in her life.

One of ours used to be a skilled hunter, but he is 16 now, so can't be bothered. The other is absolutely useless, I am convinced it thinks it's a dog!

Buidheag went out again and got two more from somewhere up the bank by our borehole's giant water tank. Came in and dumped them in front of the kittens. I shall have to stop calling Somhairle a kitten because it will soon be his first birthday.
