Sudden Drop in SNRM
« on: January 30, 2018, 01:52:58 AM »

My SNRM has been 3.4db for 60 odd days with Max sync on downstream. I updated my VMG-1312-B10A modem firmware yesterday and I am seeing SNRM between 2.1db and 3.3db but mostly 2.1db since I updated the firmware. The firmware driver appears to be the same and you can see my SNRM on MDWS changing from 2.1 to 3.3.

Do you think it is the line or the modem firmware. Current firmware is V.14 and no one else is reporting a change in SNRM?

Thanks for the reply Ned, certainly something has changed as looking back on MWDS I have 150 days at 3.3 SNRM or thereabouts!

I did my F/W upgrade from V.12 to V.14 in my case on Sunday with absolutely no change to line stat's to date as already reported in another thread.
I believe b*cat also completed his V.14 upgrade yesterday with no line changes at the time.

Hopefully just a temporary line anomaly in your case ?

Yes, correct. Nothing untoward has subsequently been noticed.
