What saint's day do you think today is?
« on: May 02, 2008, 09:40:54 AM »

According to a letter in The Times, in France today, May 2nd, they are celebrating St. Boris' day. I wonder... :)

[Apparently he's actually a saint of the Russian Orthodox Church : see here if you're interested. ]

Send offerings to :

Saint Boris
GLA
City Hall
The Queen's Walk
London
SE1 2AA

If Boris wins London then that really is it for Labour - they're all dead men/women walking. Wish I could say I was sorry but frankly I'm not. Boris will be an unmitigated disaster for Londoners though. Wish I could say I cared about that but I don't :D

The choice given to Londoners was between a clown, a rogue, and someone nobody had heard of.

I remember when I was in a Trade Union a few years ago and we received voting papers for a new Union Leader. No one had ever heard of any of the candidates and I was ready for binning my ballot paper when an old timer said to vote for the oldest, that way if he is cra no good, it doesn't matter because he will be either retired or dead soon.
It works, too!  ;D

Yeah but it should make some entertaining media fodder for the next 4 years or so.
