This is just a little curiosity. When I was recently trying to evaluate the WiFi performance of several different routers, I noticed that the strongest signal locally came from a device which advertised itself as DIRECT-CIC410 Series. Does anyone know what device this is?

When I set up a wifi Samsung printer recently, it connected as a DIRECT- device which was a direct connection between the PC and the printer, not on my wifi network.

You're dead right. It's my own Samsung C410W colour laser printer, which is a WiFi capable device but connected by ethernet.. No wonder it's a strong signal inside my home.
