RDI's Twice At The Same Time Of Day
« on: March 09, 2016, 07:33:20 PM »

Hi everyone,

I just had my third resync in three days and I have no idea why. Two of the resyncs are RDI's. But, what is an RDI? Is it DLM or am I loosing complete sync with the exchange e.g. a fault? I monitored the line for a few minutes before the resync and I got a steady increase in CRC's (about 5 per minute) and then I got over 1000 in less than a minute.

The other thing I've noticed is my FEC's have dropped by a huge amount and only G.INP has changed from 54.00 to 52.00.

Line stats after resync:

I have no idea either, but, I think the main thing is that G.INP has been switched off again for the upstream.

Yeah, on Upstream there's been 169 ES since the last resync, but yes hopefully the Downstream Rate will go back to 40000 Kbps soon!

In theory, the FTTC DLM manages the downstream and upstream independently. Although, I don't think G.INP can be on for the upstream and off for the downstream.

Yes, hopefully I'll eventually get a Downstream Rate of 40000 Kbps, and a Downstream interleaver depth of 1 as well as a Downstream G.INP of 0.00! :D
