@hpsauce - that's very true. Last week there was blue sky all day and blazing sunshine with cold wind, and there was a massive load of snow on the the mainland mountains which was blinding. The view to the east, to Ladhar Bheinn, was simply stunning.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't sample the view to the west across the Atlantic to the Island of Rùm and its Cuilfhionn Rùmach mountains, which are a broken-off piece of the Skye volcano. I'll rectify that error this week now I'm no longer feeling ill. (We have sea views on three sides - east, south and west sides - of the house, which is the benefit of being so very high up coupled with the fact that we are near the point where Skye is at its narrowest, just a couple of miles - such a funny shape.)
