Back to executive level complaints as its still not working properly and neither is the TV. They totally borked the order and now it says I've ordered 17Mb ADSL and no TV. Well done BT.

Will keep you updated however it looks like the lady at ELC won't be available until Wednesday to try and fix it.

At last, indeed!  :)

I just wish that a FTTP service could be provided in not such a highly asymmetric state, say 152/76 Mbps, in your case.

I agree.

It doesn't always make that speed - you have to pick the server carefully. I find that there is a bit of contention in the evening too bringing it down to about 150-180 Mbps although its quite variable. I guess that would be down to congestion via the exchange as I've tried the BT Wholesale speed check and that drops too. During the middle of today, when people are out I guess, its at least 200. I suspect not going for the 300Mbps option was a good idea at this point.

Latency is down over my old fastpath VDSL at my old house too.

Now BT just need to sort out the other 2 phantom orders on my account that appeared after call centre staff kept pressing buttons. One is for 17Mb ADSL! - need that cancelled ASAP

Great news there. Hope my install is goes smoothly when I eventually move to my new build. The FTTP team called me last week after I sent in a letter to complain about the lack of a 30Mbps upload package, and they said there are so many issues provisioning FTTP. Keeping fingers crossed.

I'm of the same opinion that you might as well save a few quid and not bother with the 300/20 service if it's only 20 up.

Just upgraded to the Infinity 4 package even though the woman on the phone said it wouldn't be a 30Mb upload.

Guess what :)

It's crazy. They don't even know what they are selling!

No idea where they are getting "up to 19Mb" from on the retail side. Maybe some crossed wires between the BTR and OR systems.

It's another world. And some random, nameless unaccountable person gets to decide which world we are in.
